As the INTERLACE project came to a close, the final CITIES TALK NATURE webinar brought together cities, local stakeholders, and the research community to reflect on the project’s impact and ensure its lasting legacy. Rather than marking an end, this event aimed to serve as a catalyst for continued collaboration and progress in the adoption of nature-based solutions (NbS). The session showcased key resources developed through INTERLACE and provided a platform for cities to share their experiences in restoring urban ecosystems. Project partners from Envigado, Colombia and from the Krakow Metropolis shared their journeys in implementing NbS.
They reflected on the challenges they faced, the lessons they learned, and the successes that can guide other cities embarking on similar paths. Participants gained insights into resources designed to support urban ecosystem restoration. The discussion also highlighted the vital role of city networks in scaling NbS efforts, fostering collaboration, and ensuring that nature-based solutions become a central pillar of urban sustainability strategies.
While the INTERLACE project has officially concluded, its impact continues. This final webinar reinforced the commitment of cities and stakeholders to championing NbS beyond the project’s timeline. Through ongoing engagement in the CITIES TALK NATURE community, participants will carry forward the knowledge, tools, and momentum built over the years. The INTERLACE story does not end here—it evolves through the cities and communities that bring NbS to life. Stay connected, stay inspired, and continue shaping the future of nature-based solutions!
